Give ambitious women confidence.

That’s the stated aim of high-end Swiss skincare brand La Vallée Switzerland which draws its power from the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Its secret wapon?

Developing innovative targeted treatments that ward off the effects of the time and give the skin deep-down protection, nourishment and healing.

This curring-edge Swiss biotechnology notably features ingredients of a remarkable purity, such as glacier water, essential oils, caviar and nectar from plants with regenerative proprieties delivered in exceptional products so delicately textured as to afford their users a unique sensory experience.

La Vallée offers seven skincare lines designed to
combat aggressive external factors.

One of the brand’s latest innovations harnesses the secret of the rare ptilocephala pyrenaella butterfly found in Alpine valleys, which enjoys exceptional powers of survival. The species has long fascinated biologists, who finally solved the mystery: its longevity derives from the nectar of the buddleja dividii flowers that the butterflies feed on. This breakthrough enabled scientists to develop NEctaoure Protective Complex, which La Vallée now incorporates into its products.

Thanks to dermo-cosmetic research, the brand allows even the most active women to feel utterly self-confident in all circumstances, knowing their skin is protected, hydrated and radiant.

WHY INDEPENDENT LUXURY BRANDS COULD BE THE NEW HOT THING POST COVID-19
ARTICLE BY Stéphane JG Girod

The Forbes Magazine talks about La Vallée Switzerland and other luxury companies in their agility transformation during the lockdown COVID-19.

What if COVID-19 was about to create a more levelled playing field for independent brands? This question seems iconoclastic. But there are precedents of changing fortunes in other industries. Take beer and the way smaller brewers managed to challenge even the likes of AB Inbev because they were on the pulse with changing consumer tastes and able to boost quality.

There is a convincing argument that independent luxury brands are much more in tune with post COVID-19 trends than the bigger players. Could now be the time when the “magic” of independent brands also helps them rise above the heavyweights?

At first sight, the decline in consumption that the likes of Philip Kotler, the father of modern marketing, fears will happen in the wake of COVID might seem dangerous for any luxury brand.

But because independent brands are used to competing by playing contrarian, ultra-responsible and sustainable and authentic cards, they could be ideally placed to seize the opportunities of new trends.

On this point of digital ubiquity during COVID-19, the distance to end customers has become more democratic and is now more equal to all brands, providing a chance for smaller independent brands to have equal impact and similar presence. This is the view of Knirke Fester Schindler, Brand Director at La Vallée Switzerland, a Swiss independent luxury cosmetic brand.

The smaller brands also seem to appreciate how less is more and are applying this to digital.

As Fester Schindler continues: “Luxury companies have had a tendency to panic, searching for quick fixes during the lockdown to keep their employees busy and remain visible, offering online beauty consulting and webinars. The result and impact seemed somehow as a panic reaction and solution and did not always live up to the image that I had of the brand. Digital solutions have advantages but a clear strategy, even under exceptional circumstances, must be in place and aligned with the brand image.”

Consequently, she did not take La Vallée down this route.

IN A CHIC STATE OF MIND
Article by Marisol Image

New suncare collection La Vallée Switzerland

La Vallée Switzerland, a luxury Swiss skincare company, recently launched a sun care line that, as an Ambassador, I had the opportunity to test before its official launch.

Developed with dermatologists and experts in biological research, these suncare products are specifically created to meet the needs of the active and ambitious woman.

In them, you will find the purest waters from the Swiss glaciers, essential oils, caviar, and a complex selection of botanical extracts. Also a combination of high performing UVA/UVB FILTERS. These ingredients help to maintain the skin protected. They contribute to the regeneration of your skin. It also helps prevent the development of skin discolorations and age spots.

THE RESULT?

My skin was protected, soothed, hydrated all the while extending my natural tan. I especially loved the texture that was fluid and penetrated quickly. It didn’t leave a white film and had a light fragrance.

The Sun Care line is composed of three key products for all your sun exposure needs: Sun Protect Body SPf 50, Sun Protect Face 50 & UV Repair for the Face which is for after sun exposure.

THE PLUS?

La Vallée is a skincare company that actively supports charitable organizations. For example, the “Heart of India” foundation offers opportunities to young Indian women to achieve an education, receive their diploma and find a job that will eventually make them independent. For each product sold of their new suncare line, 5 Swiss Francs is donated to this organisation. A worthy cause !

– Enjoy your summer my friends & don’t forget the sunscreen –

Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation

A host of stars gathered for the 3rd edition of the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean. International celebrities gathered in Monaco in Support of Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Initiatives to Save the Ocean and Stem Effects of Climate Change.

On Thursday, September 26, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco presided the third annual Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean with as guest of Honor Robert Redford. Masters of Ceremony Nicole KidmanUma Thurman and Andy Garcia and special guests as Patricia Arquette and Chris Tucker came on stage to present exclusive items of the exceptional auction conducted by Simon de Pury.

In turn, they conveyed an alert message both on the deterioration of the state of health of our seas and on the need for urgent and immediate action. Gwen StefaniAndrea Bocelli, Kool & the Gang and Robin Thicke energized the night with their outstanding performances for the privilege of the guests.

The 2019 theme of this prestigious event, hosted by Global Fundraising Chairman Milutin Gatsby, immersed the attendees in a universe of ice, recalling the environmental challenges that also affect the polar regions. The sake of the Ocean and the Poles being inextricably linked.

In his speech, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco highlighted that the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean was the closing event of a very special week dedicated to the Ocean with the launch of the IPCC special report on Ocean and Cryosphere and the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit.

Fondation prince Albert Gala 2019

“This is the time for collective responsibility, a shared commitment, a joint undertaking. This is time for generosity. This is the stage we are at this evening, and it is why I am particularly happy to welcome you all. Particularly grateful to witness your commitment once again this year. And particularly proud of being able to continue with you, and thanks to you, the wonderful work that was carried out after the last two galas.”

Robert Redford honored with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Special Award

The evening also saw Robert Redford presented with the “Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Special Award” in recognition of his career-long commitment to protecting the environment.

Accepting the prize, the actor, director and producer said, “The information we’ve heard over the course of the last few days, coming out of the United Nations report on the health of our oceans, is yet another reminder that our window of opportunity to change course, is sadly narrowing each and every day. If ever there was a time to raise awareness and inspire actions, it is right now. This is it. This is our only planet. This may be our last chance.”

By bringing together philanthropists, political decision-makers, business leaders, scientists and celebrities from all over the world, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and his Foundation wish to unite the driving forces in order to provide solutions to the crisis facing the Ocean, particularly affected by the effects of climate change.

All proceeds from the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean and its auction support the Foundation’s Ocean initiatives, including the development of marine protected areas, the protection of threatened marine species, the mitigation of the impact of climate change and acidification on the Ocean, as well as fight against plastic pollution.
